Dear Leila,

We heard about the fire in the warehouse where the recent shipments are. Without delay, please do a report on the measure of damages resulting from incidental or consequential damages of the fire.

I would like to know in detail the difference in the cost cover and the contract price together. Also include the value of the goods would have had if they had not been damaged by these circumstances.

Please recover damages in any manner or any relief that is reasonable under the circumstances.

Thank you
Mr. Goodrow

Request Letter for Guest List

Hello guys, it's me Teddy!

First of all, thank you so much for the amazing work at the Charity Disco Nights and Weekend Shoot Outs, those were absolutely some awesome and unforgettable experiences, that we're looking forward to seeing more of!

Now that I've mentioned that, is there a way to keep on track of all the guests that attended the two events and perhaps invite them all in the coming up events. We should cross out the no-shows and keep the regular and crashers on. The headcount matters right now. Hope we could do like a guest roster of some sorts for the time being?

Lemme know

Request Letter to Bank for Proof of Payment

Dear Bank Manager,

As I have settled all my payments with your bank, and even continued to keep a savings account there, I would like to request for documentation proving that I have no debts or existing loans under your bank. I think some call this a proof of payment certificate. I need such a document within the week as I will be acquiring real estate services of a local broker. As you can see from your records, I do have sufficient funds to make such a purchase.

Please let me know the soonest.

Thank you
Delia

Request for Transfer to Different Company Location

Need a job transfer to another office? Need to relocate your family without leaving your current company?

Try this Request for Transfer letter:

Dear Sir,

There has been a significant change in my family situation the past few months.
We have been struggling with a personal loss. It has been a struggle for us and for my wife's well-being, I'm planning to move my family to the Northeast village to start anew. This is also where her therapy and treatment center is located. Along with this transfer request, I am attaching supporting documents from her doctor why the change in environment is required.

With this, I would like to formally ask for a job transfer at the Midtown office. I am familiar with the staff at Midtown as I have been assigned there during quarterly meetings when Tommy Ritz was the acting senior partner. Moreover, I have always been a good standing employee with the company for over 10 years now. I hope you understand how difficult this decision is for me, as I've always appreciated the work we do here at the South department.I have the best, if not the most supportive of colleagues, that I am not ashamed to say I am very proud of because of the work ethic and passion they put in everyday on the production floor.
And they are well aware of my need for a transfer and with that, I have advised our Senior Manager
about all the projects that need to be handed over from my end. I will still continue backend support for
the South department even from the Midtown office.

Thank you for taking the time to read my request, if you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Please let me know the soonest if my transfer request is approved.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
James

Request for Extra Staff Letter

Requesting extra crew or staff for your department or store? Sometimes we need additonal employees to get things running smoothly. Here's what to tell the management:

Dear Sir,

In anticipation of the coming long  holiday weekend, I would like to request some extra hands on several of our retail outlets. We need some additional staff to man the register, inventory and do general customer service work. Like last year, I expect huge crowds by the afternoon. It would really benefit our sales and the shoppers as well. The part-timers can be on an hourly wage. But that is up to you. Please let me know what your decision is as soon as possible. So I can allocate the resources and staff I have now prior the holidays.

Best Regards,
Janice

Request Letter for Company Perk such as a Phone

For us employees money isn't everything, sometimes a simple work perk is enough to make us stay onboard.

Here's a sample letter asking to own a company issued phone. Just be straightforward if you want to ask your boss for an extra company perk.

Dear Boss,

The company-issued phone is very useful to me. It has made my job more efficient in more ways than one. Since its care is my responsibility, would it be possible for me to own the phone through monthly salary deductions? If you're open to such an arrangement, that would be great. To be honest, it would be difficult for me at my current situation to own a similar smart phone such as this. I hope the company can support me on this one.

Thanks,
Mildred

Reply About Revisions Letter

An editor sends his staff writer his list of revisions in this letter

Dear Flint,

I received your submission last Friday and I felt the opening was too aggressive. The words needed to be more subtle. And I think this one which you just sent through email is better than the first two. I've edited it slightly, but altogether it is very good. I'm passing back to you for some finishing touches. Send it back within the day.

Regards,
Rupert

Call for Meeting Letter

An informal letter asking the client for a meeting over coffee

Hello Roger,

Thank you for getting back to me on the project.

When are you available next week? What's the ideal time and place to meet up to discuss the contract? I'm thinking over coffee somewhere near your office. Will you be at the tech conference on Tuesday? Maybe we could have coffee by then and invite the whole team as well.

Regards,
John

Request Letter Asking Neighbors to Turn Down Loud Noise or Loud Music

Though there are noise ordinances in cities, some neighbors can't get a clue about the noise they make. So call them out with this letter without getting into a fight worthy of Springer.  Hopefully the noise issue will resolve itself without the neighborly drama.

Hi Fred,

Its me Eric from 208-B. I do want to talk to you personally about this, but as you know I work odd shifts at the hospital and I really come home very tired at night. Lately, the noise level from your unit is becoming a problem in our building and I'm not the only one who took noticed. However, the other tenants have asked me to bring this to your attention since we're on the same floor.

I would like to kindly ask if it would be possible to tone down the music during the evening and on school nights. I'm also a big fan of Cher and her music, I wouldn't mind hearing your playlist in the daytime or on weekends. I hope you understand our concern.

Cheers,
Eric

Letter Requesting for Renewal of Contract as Employee

A sample request letter asking about work contract renewal

Dear Mr. Wyeth,

Greetings!

I am Lai Allot from the Inventory department. I was employed last March 20, 2009 and my work contract will expire this December 20, 2010. I would like to inquire about my employment status and whether I will be up for a contract renewal.

I hope you understand that I would need to know the company's decision prior the end of my contract date, whether my employment would be extended, so I will have enough time to file the necessary documents to extend my work visa.

Thank you very much

Sincerely,
Lai Allot

Demand Letter to Stop Calling Office for Personal Favors

A request letter trying to keep a board member or investor at bay from frequently asking favors.

Dear Mrs. Fenton,

It has come to my attention that you have been calling our business offices more than usual for personal reasons. I would like to stress that due to the amount of phone calls we get from our clients, we must always try to keep our lines available for business phone calls.

If you have a request with the chairman please put it in writing, this will save you time and guarantee you a meeting at your desired schedule. In making the request official, you are giving the chairman the proper authority to act on upon your appeal and even initiate the proceedings in your favor.

Hope you understand.

Thank you very much

Regards,
Norman Wallace
