To Whom It May Concern:

Good day to you! This letter serves as a recommendation letter for Miss Marjorie Honeycutt as she seeks to become part of your prestigious accelarated program at Duke University.

Miss Honeycutt has been an exemplary student in high school. She is a gifted writer and essayist as well. I have taught at Lamierda High School for the Arts for 18 years and I am proud to say that Miss Honeycutt is a rare gem, a student that stands out once every decade from a sea of hundreds, from students already pre-selected by a discerning academic board.

Her academic performance is excellent which creates a balance for her other extracurricular talents as an athlete. For that reason, I am proud to recommend her to be part of your institution as she is well-adjusted and yet thrives impeccably under pressure. Though she has a naturally competitive spirit, she is at best sensitive and caring, as she would go over and beyond in assisting her peers and friends in the community.

Miss Marjorie Honeycutt graduated Class Valedictorian for the Lamierda High School for the Arts in 2010. As a member of the High School swim, cycling and track teams, she is a national traithlon champion. She is also receive the meritorious Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Award for her worked published in the Omaha Daily.

I am hoping that you will place into consideration my recommendation of Miss Marjorie Honeycutt. She is a highly-determined, hardworking and promising individual who deserves a chance at higher education in your prestigious university.
