DUI Plea Letter to Judge

For offenses such as driving under the influence, you may be in need of a sincere DUI court letter. Here is a sample letter for a first time DUI offender who is requesting for a court-supervised alcohol rehab program.

The Honorable Margaret Gayle
California Superior Court
South West,Courthouse
CA 903625

Re: Case no. NSFWFTW-69

Dear Judge Gayle,

My name is James Lee Roman. I was charged for driving under the influence of alcohol on April 14, 2011. The DUI offense stems from my unfortunate decision to drive myself home after a birthday party. With my senses impaired, I eventually misjudged a turn and hit a tree straight-on. The incident caused my left leg to be fractured in several places, shards of glass also pierced my face. My injuries are extensive and the hours of physical therapy still come in very long, painful strides, but the lesson I learned here was invaluable. I truly realized that I was very fortunate that I did not injure anyone else, to have caused the same kind of damaged and pain on someone or even horribly death. I learned all of these things the hard way, the weeks I spent at the hospital and seeing my mother in tears of which such heartbreak cannot be undone. But I stand to correct myself and my ways. I would like to submit myself to an alcohol treatment program as soon as possible or on any rehabilitative program the court deems proper.

I would like to plead for leniency your honor, please allow me the opportunity to turn my life around, I believe the possibility of imprisonment is a huge factor for change alone. Still, I would like to be responsible for my actions and accept the consequences of my offense. Inside me, I believe is an indvidual who wants to be useful and productive to the community. Prior this, I have no criminal or any record of offense, my driving record is also very much clean. I have been an honor student throughout my younger years and an active volunteer at the local animal shelter.

Further, I would like to apologized for the cost and time incurred by my offense. In these dire economic times, the cost I had unfortunately brought upon the State could have been very well spent on other public services. I truly am sorry for being a burdened to the system.

More importantly, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter, your honor. I am thankful to the court for the attention and consideration it has given me.

Sincerely yours,
James L. Roman

Letter Asking for the Status of my Job Interview

After a long wait, its quite alright to ask about your application status after several interviews with a company. No need to sit tight and wait in employment limbo. Sending a polite and specific letter might push your chances in finally getting hired.

Dear Ma'am,

I hope my letter finds you well. I am Louise Lister and I would just like to follow-up on the status of my job application.

Last July, I applied for the junior marketing position for MilkManns Inc. and I went through 1st and 2nd interviews by mid-July. I met with the HR manager on the 1st interview who informed me that MilkManns was looking to make decisions soon. Overall, the interview was very positive. On the 2nd interview, I met with Hal Stevens, the regional marketing director and he sent me to 3rd floor to meet with Amber Davis the senior marketing director. I am uncertain about how I did with that interview, but they did let me in on their work flow and process. Miss Davis made me try out some of the pitches and asked for my opinion- I took this to be a positive sign on my part. She also disclosed that they are very much in need of a junior marketing associate to be on board.

As you might gather from my email, I remain very interested to work for MilkManns Inc. and I feel I am a suitable candidate for the job.

It's been 3 weeks since my 2nd interview. Though I know you run a very busy schedule, I would like to ask about the status of my application. I would really appreciate any word on the matter.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Louise

Post Interview Follow-up Letter for Job Position

A lot of promising job applicants get elbowed-out by the more aggressive ones. In this economic climate, its about time any job seeker learns to follow-up with the headhunter after an interview. Here's a post-interview letter you can email asking about your job application status.

Dear Ma'am,

It was lovely meeting you last July 15, and I would just like to thank you for taking the time to interview me for the Digital Marketing Position at Suffix Inc.

Just to update you, I am now studying SugarCRM which was the software you stated is required for the job. I have now mastered its basic functions and I can't wait to put my new found CRM skills to the test.

I remain very interested in the position. Please do contact me if you need further details about my employment history and skills that might be helpful.

Thank you again for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Abby Dallas

Sample Letter Complaining about Employee Behavior at Work

A complaint letter addressing the issue of a co-worker's behavior and performance at work which is affecting the whole department team. The letter is given to human resources hoping that the employee's personal issues may be resolved through intervention by their immediate superiors.

Dear Human Resources Officer,

As you all know, I have nothing but great respect for those I work with everyday. But lately, Cristina's tardiness (coming in late, long lunch breaks and disappearing during work hours) is really affecting our production process. We really need her to be here for us and focused on her tasks. We cannot proceed to do our own jobs unless she finishes up the assembly forms assigned to her. And we are running out of time to make the May 27th deadline.

I would like to help her by informing you that Cristina may have a serious problem in her life right now that is affecting her work. I know how important and loyal she is to the company. I trust that you will do the right thing by talking to her. We are very concerned for her welfare.
I hope you will be able to help her out.

If you would like me to explain the situation further, please let me know.

Best Regards,
Joey

Request Letter Asking Neighbors to Turn Down Loud Noise or Loud Music

Though there are noise ordinances in cities, some neighbors can't get a clue about the noise they make. So call them out with this letter without getting into a fight worthy of Springer.  Hopefully the noise issue will resolve itself without the neighborly drama.

Hi Fred,

Its me Eric from 208-B. I do want to talk to you personally about this, but as you know I work odd shifts at the hospital and I really come home very tired at night. Lately, the noise level from your unit is becoming a problem in our building and I'm not the only one who took noticed. However, the other tenants have asked me to bring this to your attention since we're on the same floor.

I would like to kindly ask if it would be possible to tone down the music during the evening and on school nights. I'm also a big fan of Cher and her music, I wouldn't mind hearing your playlist in the daytime or on weekends. I hope you understand our concern.

Cheers,
Eric

Complaint Letter from a Parent Addressed to the School regarding the Harrassment and Bullying of a Student

A complaint letter from a concerned parent regarding the harrassment and bullying of her son in class. The letter is addressed to the Principal with a call for immediate action.

Dear Principal Victoria,

My son Alex Reynolds is a third grade student under Mrs. David's class. I would like to call your attention on these two students from his class: Jon Meyer and Adam Zandler. They have been bullying my son up to no end.

Recently, these boys have brought an air rifle to school to show off to their peers and during recess, the said air rifle was lost and the blame is being place on my son. They are accusing Alex of theft. This is not true. My son is a well-mannered boy, we have made it a point to raise him with good values and respect for other's rights and property. My son has told me of his predicament in school over the weekend, all the bullying and the harassment he has gone through. He is very uncomfortable of bringing this up to his teacher as he is afraid of being branded a snitch by his peers. However, I see that my son can no longer endure such treatment and he is willing to talk about the situation with these boys at your office.

Moreover, I am shocked that an item such an air rifle has gone unnoticed in the school premises. It maybe considered a toy, but it is not a child's plaything, an air rifle is meant to be used under the supervision of adults. Also the presence of such a weapon may cause harm to other children.

If possible, I would like to request for a meeting with you and his teacher, even perhaps the boys' parents to address the issue. I am kindly asking your office for help with this matter.

Thank you very much

Mrs. Bea Ness

Feedback Letter from Boss regarding Project

A polite yet direct email from the boss regarding a work project

Hello Sam,

Thank you for the time and all the thought you've put into your suggestions. Here is my feedback regarding the project titles:

• I agree with Ted from marketing that the project titles are a bit long and would be a problem for registration. And from a recall standpoint, it might not work.

• How about a title that is related to the region of the brand? Or that focuses on the age group.

• Please refer to the last user survey for ideas.

I am still keeping the list of names you sent on active until you come up with new ones by Monday.

Regards,
Cindy

Request letter for Prison Visit

A sample request letter to seek permission to visit a prisoner. Put into writing your appeal for Prisoner Visitation particularly if you as a visitor have a prior criminal record. Appeal your case with a formal letter to the warden.

Dear Sir:

I would like to appeal my request to visit Efren Lauson who is currently serving time in your prison. My name is Myrna Martin and I am a good friend of Mr. Lauson's family. I would like to visit him on behalf of his children who are from the province of Jolo. His children do not have the financial means to see him and since I live in the city near the prison, they would like me to see how their father is doing. Attached are the notarized consent forms of Mr. Lauson's children- Esme and Efren Jr.

Prior to this appeal, I was denied entry at my first request due to the fact I have prior arrest records for a felony misdemeanor decades ago. I have served time for embezzlement from the years 1982-1984. I was honest about this and declared it during the first request process. It has been mentioned that it is one of the reasons that my appeal was turned down. Being 42 now and a mother to three young children, I am now a reformed individual. I have served my time for the crime I committed, after my release I have changed my ways and have not broken any laws since. My reasons to visit Efren Lauson are only with good intentions.

I hope you would kindly consider my formal request and reverse the original decision in favor of Efren's children. I can be contacted at any time at my telephone number 555-555-2000., if necessary, to discuss any aspect of my appeal.

Thank you for your consideration .

Sincerely,
Myrna Martin

Thank you Letter for Help

To All,

Thanks, everyone. I’m going to check all these lists out tomorrow. It’s really strange to me that there’s no clinic that specializes in asthma at the downtown area.  I really didn’t think that pediatric respiratory specialists would be so difficult to find. I’ll send word if I find anything else on my own.

Your help has been invaluable.

Best Regards,
Emily Jalecki

I Love You Letter

A Sample Valentine's Day letter to celebrate the past and the best in a relationship.

Dear Marlyn,

All my life, I have always been looking for that special someone who I can love, trust and just be myself around with. There is an abundance of acceptance and understanding whenever I am around you, I feel welcome in your arms. I feel safe. Sweetheart, you make me stronger. You make me a better person.

Do you know that you are as beautiful and dreamy as the first day we met? I could not look away the moment I saw you. You were impossible to let go. It took a lot of sheer will for me to approach you, but I just had to ask you for your name. I'm so glad I did. I hope tonight we can revisit the past and make plans together. I don't think I can ever live without you by my side. Thank you for being there when it counts the most.

I love you, darling. Happy Valentine's Day!

Always in love,
Arthur

Farewell Letter to Coworkers

Saying goodbye is never easy. But saying your proper goodbyes to co-workers is important. It means you appreciate having worked with them and you value their friendship. It also nurtures your business and working ties even though your moving on to a possibly better working environment.

Hello Everyone,

As you guys all know, this is my last day at work. I would just like to say a few kind words to everyone who has made my five years at ChemLabs- five years well spent. I wish you guys the best and much success in your respective departments. I'll be relocating my family to Vermont by next week, so before I move out of town, I wold like to invite everyone for a small get-together at Joe's Pub this 7pm. Drinks on me!

Thanks,
David

Letter to a Best Friend: Celebrating Years of Friendship

A heartfelt letter to my best friend since childhood

Dear Marien,

I've known you since preschool. We have so many shared memories together and when I look back I'm just so glad I have you as a bestfriend growing up. Not everyone is blessed with such a friend.

We are like sisters; Inseparable and supportive of each other. We've been through the best and worst of times and even seen the best and worst of ourselves. And yet, here we are. I can't ask for anything more in a best friend.

Always and forever,
Cassie

Love Letter from the Brokenhearted

Dear Sandy,

If you love somebody, let them go. If they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were.

You didn't have to send me that message. I can nurse my own heart and let it lie broken for years. Does it matter? Who cares? You? Obviously, you don't. Cause you left without saying goodbye and none of my attempts to convince you to come back has led to anything. But still it was worth it, just to see you again even for a brief moment today. Maybe I am not ready to face this and let you go and be alone. Yes, I'm pissed. I can really get angry and upset like the way you can get all bitchy and loud. But that doesn't change everything and the love that we have between us.

I still love you no matter what and I'll wait... no matter how long it takes. If you ever get to think about me I'm just a phone call away.

A Sorry Love Letter on Valentine's day

Dear Marguerite,

I am so sorry I cannot be with you on this special day. I know how Valentine's day means a lot to you, but it also breaks my heart to find myself far away from you, far removed from the one I truly love.

Your face, your smile, and all my memories of you are what tides me through the hardships of my everyday life here. I can only wish that when we see each other again, things would be perfect enough for me to stay. Perhaps even stay forever in your arms. Just remember to hold me so tight, and never let me go even in your dreams.

I think of you always, my sweet.

All my love,
Pablo

Happy Valentine's Day Love Letter

Dear Jacqueline,

I am so lucky to have found you and for you to have love me back in the sheer instant that we've met. Its true. What I saw in your eyes that day was all I needed, I knew then that you were the one for me, the one I should be with for the rest of my life.

You give me something to look forward to everyday- your tenderness, your smile, your love and affection. I am grateful for these gifts. Life has been wonderful with you and I can't imagine my world without you in it.

Happy Valentine's Day, Love!

Bisous,
Romain

Love Letter for Valentine's Day

Dear Sookie,

I can't wait to see you again, I can still smell you on my clothes and taste your lipstick on my mouth. Why do you always leave me hungry? Why do you always leave me begging for more? Is this what love is like?

I know I can be so cheesy, but you're my girl now and you bring out my soft side. I can't hide all these feelings I have for you, it's burning a hole in my heart and leaves me with this deep longing for your touch. What can I say? That's the effect you have on me.

Happy Valentine's Day sweetheart! You're in for a big surprise!

Always,
Bill

Sympathy Letter to a Friend: Get Well Soon

A sympathy and get well letter for a dear friend at the hospital under going recovery.

Dear Ron,

I am very distresed to hear about your current condition. I have been confined for medical treatments for longer periods so I know how it feels like to be in bed all day. I know you are enduring so much pain right now and I pray that you find the inner strength to tide you through your therapy. Stay strong. There are still challenges ahead of you and I mean that on a cheerful note. You still have to see your boy graduate his fall with honors which is such a huge achievement. I always know how proud you are of Sean. So keep that smile on your face and be brave for Sean. He is always a Daddy's boy.

I'll be coming over next week with some of Martha's smoked ham and your favorite blueberry pie. If you wish for anything just let Tess give me a call, I can always get those hard-to-find things you love.

I wish you well, my friend.

Sincerely,
Harry

Request for Transfer or Termination of Employee Letter

This letter demonstrates how you can have a co-worker removed, transfered or even fired.

Dear Roger,

Please consider seriously moving Janice from auditing to inventory work before the month ends. She is no longer a good fit for the core team. She is causing more derision among the team and the work gets hardly done. I would suggest a inter-department transfer then assign her client accounts and responsibilities among the remaining interns.

You may also want to talk to the HR officer about this, as she is up for review.

Omarosa

Excuse Letter: Permission for Absence in Class

Dear Teacher,

I, Benjamin Buloxi will not be attending class for three days due to an outpatient procedure at the hospital. As of today, I am unable to grip or use any writing instrument. You may call my mother Anne Buloxi at 555-7860 for any concerns and my doctor, Dr. Summers at 666-7990 regarding my condition.

Sincerely yours,
Benjamin

Letter to Teacher: Thanks for Caring!

Dear Mrs. Appleby,

I'm back in school and well, I guess back on track. Dropping out mid year and coming in cold behind everyone else is not easy. Kids here are the tough kind and the truth is most of us kids can be cruel. Cruel to others and cruel to ourselves. But thank you for making things in school a little bit better. I look forward to your classes and the spoken poetry readings at the St. Albert hall.

My mom still holds on to the idea that I am still a child. She doesn't realized that I am not that young anymore. I can't say that I am all grown up either. Still, I should thank you for treating me like someone with an opinion that counts. Thank you for listening to me, for pointing out the error of my ways and for acknowledging my accomplishments- like you said in the classroom, the little things that I can do and be responsible for.

I've learned to deal with how things are at home. My parents may not be there when I get home from school because they are working late and too hard, but that doesn't mean I should make things harder for them, by acting up and being selfish so I can get what I want. Like you said, I could chill with the drama and learn to deal with it. I'm cool with my parents now and I do understand them better. I just wish though my Mama would stop calling me My Baby, it really freaks me out.

So if you see me in the halls, keep in mind I am doing fine and I am grateful.

Thanks,
Lewis
