Goodbye Email to Co-Worker at the Office

An email to a co-worker on her last day at work, a quick exchange of goodbyes and well-wishes.

Dear Gayle,

I heard from Bertha from Accounting that you've resigned and you're leaving for Georgia this summer. Wow I'm shocked. You've been here the longest and I would understand the sudden wanderlust now.

I hope we could have one last good cup of coffee together before you finally say goodbye to the staff. I wish you well.

Don't forget to email us once in a while.

Always,
Trudie Connolly

Farewell Letter to Co-Workers after Lay Off

A sample letter extending help to co-workers who recently gotten laid-off or fired from the job.

Dear Co-Workers,

I am sorry to hear about what happened at Work Inc. To everyone who lost their jobs today and those who remain vigilant, yet terrified of their fate. I could only imagine the chorus of pounding hearts as memos are handed down, faces torn between bewilderment, shock and dismay. The recession has indeed rocked us all hard.

When I was working for Work Inc, the people at the marketing department were always top-notched, hardworking and optimistic. I have learned the ropes of the industry well from these fine colleagues that I'm so sad to hear of them let go.

Should anyone of you, my dear friends need any help with references or job leads. I am extending my help, though my field is now in the service industry. It is still an opportunity worth looking into. Please give me a call 555.066.689 or email me chause@carewservices.com

The fall of Work Inc. may signal an end of an era, still it could possibly mean a new chapter, a new beginning in our lives.

Your friend,
Chausten Friggslove

Farewell Letter to a Co-worker Moving Out

Say Adieu to an office mate leaving for Ohio, Zanzibar or Paris!

Dear [Name],

I heard you are moving to [place] and I would do the same thing in a heartbeat. They say its a wonderful place to raise kids and nurture a family. I think its a practical and well thought out decision.

You will be sorely missed but I’m excited for you, so charge on and continue with the next chapter. Best of luck!

Regards,
