Thanking the Caterer after the Wedding

Dear Caterer,

Thank you for all your hard work. Our wedding reception was just marvelous and the food was delightful. I would like to note that the little floral touches, ornate table napkins and embellishments on each table were fantastic! They truly gave off a festive feel and unique dining experience for our guests at the wedding.

Eric and I are so happy that we had our wedding reception at the Valley Gardens with you as our Caterer. Your staff are all angels.

As a bride, all my dreams came true and fell perfectly into place that day. I would certainly recommend your catering services to my friends and family!

We had unforgettable time and thanks again to you and your staff!

Follow-up Letter on Pay Raise after Probation Period

Dear HR Manager,

In our interview ten months ago, I was told that I would receive a salary increase of $560 after my six-month probation period. As of this date, the increase has not yet been reflected on my payslip.

I would appreciate a short meeting with you discussing the terms of my salary increment and the employee benefits past my probation period to which is now due. I think such a move would be fair as I have taken more responsibility and commitments for the company. My performance is also at par with your expectations based on your last job performance review. So I would be very grateful if you could look into the matter at hand.

Hoping for your kind and immediate attention.

Request Letter to Reduce Working Hours after Maternity Leave

Dear Sir,

Pleased be advised that I wish to humbly request for a change in work hours or a reduction of work hours (if possible) from May 15- April 15, 2010. Due to the fact that I have recently given birth and my newborn is still in the hospital under medical care. I would like to settle my childcare concerns in the next few weeks, my daughter needs special care and I would like to make the transition for her at home as comfortable as possible.

Attached is my doctor's letter of medical necessity for my baby, it details the type of care that she will be needing at this period.

I would like to thank you for the support the company has extended during my maternity leave. I truly appreciate it. I hope you understand the situation I am in now and consider my request at your earliest convenience.

Good luck with this, Susan. I know it will be a long process but stay the course and put up a good fight!

Please let me know what I can do to help.
