How to Write a Letter Requesting Additional Staff to your Boss
Dear Sir,
As you know, the next few weeks are crucial in our operations, there is only a small window in which we could complete all our tasks properly and on target. As I've previously advised, our field team are doing the best they can under the current constraints. We are seriously undermanned as of the moment and I would like to request that additional staff be sent over at our North site within the next 24 hours to relieve the current staff on duty. They have been on-call without rest the last five days. I hope you understand we are now on the line in breaching the trust set by the unions. Please let me know if you are going with this option or if you have other solutions in mind.
I am at the field if you need me.
Thank you very much
Benedict

An Effective Request Letter: Asking for a Salary Increase
Dear Sir,
With all due respect, I would like to be considered for a salary increment.
I am working as a Senior Planning Specialist in the Research Department and I have successfully implemented for the last 3 years cost-effective solutions for the interest and growth of our company. I am confident that I have put in my best efforts in all my years of service, I have always been a committed and reliable employee and will continue to do so.
My last salary review was August 2004. Today, I am receiving a salary grade of $1,500 per month. I believe that an increase in my salary is now warranted.
I hope you will take a favorable view in recognizing my earnest contributions to the company.
I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
Best Regards,
Senior Employee
