My Dearest,
Wow! I just can't believe that my baby girl is turning 14 today! It's getting harder each year to come up with something original to say on your birthday! There are no words to describe how Mommy feels when it comes to talking about you, but I'm gonna try. And just starting this, brings tears of joy! Crazy, I know!
Do know my love that you have the best traits of me and your dad, but you are also you're own unique individual and you dare to be just you! And in this day and age that's hard to do. You are also an unselfish and giving sister to your younger siblings, you share what little we have to those around you that need it, and that too is rare these days. You never cease to amaze me! Stay true to all the positive things that make you - YOU!
So to the Princess of my heart, my baby girl, my side kick, my goofy, funny, sweet, kind, super smart and loving daughter - You make all my troubles melt away just by seeing that pretty little face of yours - I love you beyond words!
You told me once that you wouldn't know what you would do without me in your life, but the truth is I feel the same way. You and I we share a bond that is blessed and indescribable and true. And your smile completes my day!
Honey, I will love you beyond my last breath and I will always be here to protect you and guide you no matter what. Have a fantastic and Happy 14th Birthday!
Love,
Mom

A Mom's Letter to Daughter
Dear Daughter,
I know how important this day is for you. I share in your joy. Before we head out there I just want you to know a few things:
The best part about being a mom is having YOU in my life. This unconditional bond I have with you, my dear daughter, is unbreakable and beyond words. Every morning since you were born, I knew then that my life would be changed for the better. I've woken up to many hugs and kisses, and you cheering me up with 'You're the best Mama!' never fails, it just melts my heart to the core.
Just watching you grow up, learning new things and now being on your own- your own young lady - all of it just makes me proud. You make my world, honey. You fill it with so much love that I truly feel blessed. Do know that whatever comes your way, we can face it together. I will always be here for you no matter what.
I love you.

A Dad's Christmas Letter to a Teenage Daughter
Dear Amis,
I miss you my sweet bobcat, I hope you enjoyed your presents, but like always I have some things in mind. Some little nuggets of wisdom for the season:
Learn to share.
I know sharing is hard to do with your sister.
She looks up to you and will always want something that you have.
It only proves how cool you are to her. I hope you find it in your heart to see how much your baby sister loves you.
Start the New Year right.
You know what I mean, love. Learn to believe in yourself more. I do. I know you're growing up real fast. Trust me, when I tell you that things will only get better as you age especially when you try to overcome a lot of things on your own. Be generous in spirit and God will bless you all the more.
Know what matters most- family and then friends
Listen to your mother, keep her close. She has so much love for you girls. Friends will come and go throughout your lives. Some will be very loyal and almost like family. But right now, you must understand the importance of your mother, not everyone is lucky enough to have a mom as special as her.
Okay, I guess this is quite a lot to take in. So I'll leave things be, till I get home. I may live far away from you now, but my heart is with you girls... everyday. I will see you soon as promised.
Merry Christmas!
Love,
Dad
